Builwork Japan Co., Ltd. is both honored and pleased to announce its collaboration with Tohoku University department of Clinical Psychology.

 

Together, Builwork and Tohoku University shall be pioneering research and development tools to measure aptitude for work, motivation, productivity and also happiness.

 

The aim of the corporate-industry research and development is to greatly increase our understanding of employee behaviors and performance, as well as methods to achieve higher levels of satisfaction and output whilst maintaining the employee’s mental health and happiness.

 

Currently both in Japan and throughout the world, work related stress, mental health and depression have attracted a lot of media coverage recently. There has been a lot of research into the negative outcomes and factors of anxiety, depression and stress. However, our research shall focus on the positive outcomes and factors of employee happiness and satisfaction.

 

Therefore, during this development and study, we shall conduct exploratory research on the aptitude for "workers" such as cleaning, equipment management, vehicle operations, and other assignments based on our main business that are based on “positive psychology”, with the goal of maintaining good health, low employee turnover, and general improved productivity across the enterprise.

 

From this research we plan to make a “Measurement Tool” to monitor, measure and study the effects of the execution of this research not only from our company’s perspective, but also our employees.
